What is Branding?

We hear so much about Branding...

a product, strategy, promotion, messaging, the design, logos, social media, marketing, identity, advertising, public relations, the psychology, theory - Whoa!

 

Before your head starts spinning, let me help simplify some of this + I've shared a few tips below to keep in mind when creating your brand.

 

When we think of some of the most iconic brands, we might think of a specific product they promote, or a tag line they have, or a jingle they use. But if we dig a little deeper into the Psychology of the brand, we will SEE, FEEL, SENSE the overall vibe of the brand and what it portrays & stands for. That's a huge part of the branding process, which sets the entire tone of your next steps and brand growth.


While Marketing, Advertising and even Public Relations are the tools that help you grow your brand's exposure and bring direct leads to you....BRANDING is the foundation that tells the story of your brand,  sets your brand reputation, and ultimately builds value and loyalty with your target audience. A brand exists in the minds of your customers. It's pretty much the impression your audience has from their interactions with you, your brand, your organization and your products.

News Flash: a logo is not the brand. 

A brand should be able to tell a story, and integrate the messaging throughout its platforms, events, products, content, etc.  This will eventually be visually shown in multiple ways such as via a logo, collateral, digital material, merchandise, and so on.

  6. Choose the look of your brand (colors and font).
  7. Design a logo & content.
